Rhea & Luke
A GLENCOE ELOPEMENT FILM
Rhea & Luke travelled up from England to elope in Glencoe — a place that already meant something to them, with their two dogs alongside and the Highlands doing what only the Highlands can. Here's their film and the story of the day.
The Story of
RHEA & LUKE'S ELOPEMENT
Some couples choose Glencoe for the photographs. Rhea & Luke chose it because they already loved it. Luke had worked as a gamekeeper in the Highlands, and that time had left its mark — a genuine connection to this landscape that drew them back to it for the most important day of their lives. There's no better reason to elope somewhere than that, and it gives their whole film a sense of belonging that you can't manufacture.
They came up from England to do it, and they didn't come alone — their two dogs made the journey too, because an elopement is exactly the kind of day where the people (and the dogs) who matter most can simply be there, no formality required.
We took them to some of Glencoe's most extraordinary spots for the filming. The Skyfall road — that sweeping, cinematic stretch the films made famous — and the Three Sisters, where the mountains rise up on either side and put everything human-sized into perspective. These aren't just backdrops; in a Glencoe elopement they're half the story, and Rhea & Luke's connection to the place made filming there feel like coming home rather than visiting.
We filmed it the way we always do: quietly, letting the day breathe. The result is an intimate, cinematic record of two people choosing each other in a landscape that already felt like theirs.
