Stag & Doe Weddings
A military engagement
A slight delay
We had originally met Chloe & James one brisk morning in late 2018 in a cafe in Fountainbridge. They had loved the idea of a relaxed and informal video - What they wanted was a home video of the day that they could look back on to see and hear every minute of the day, and we were ecstatic to be able to deliver.
Unfortunately due to the big C, the date had to get postponed, not once, not twice, but three times!
But perseverance paid out and we were able to stick through it all. With a venue change to the Borthwick castle we were all set for the day!
A tale of two mornings
While Connor spent the morning in the gorgeous Polwarth flat, Joanna made her way to Borthwick to capture Chloe's prep as well.
Like many other grooms, James was calm with just a hint of anxiousness - But that didn't stop the laughing and joking, with even a parking attendant scare and note on the fridge - 'Don't forget the vows & speeches'!
At Borthwick, Chloe's morning was a busy one, with all her nearest and dearest coming back and forward. Each loving smile added more and more to the morning, until before they knew it, it was time for the ceremony.
Courtyard celebration
The splendour of Borthwick's courtyard provided the setting for Chloe & James' ceremony. The sun came out just as Chloe rounded the corner, giving some beautiful light for everyone there.
The ceremony was a beautiful one, a gentle breeze cooling everyone as they sealed the day with a kiss.
A day to remember
As the afternoon celebrations continued, the sun came down on the other side of the glen, illuminating the scene in one of the most beautiful scenes we've ever seen.
Chloe & James were whisked away to have a dance with the sunset behind them, capturing the most picturesque memories imaginable.
The rest of the night was filled with every bit of joy, love and laughter that they had wanted, and it was a privilege to be there to capture it from start to finish.
