Something we hear all the time, and believe us - you're not alone!
Your day is a celebration of what makes you, you. And the idea of cameras being in your face all day is something that most would run away from!
With this in mind, our approach to each day we capture is Documentary first & foremost, staying out of the way and being as unobtrusive as possible to capture every one of those real moments.

The team and Stag and Doe are truly phenomenal. It was an absolute pleasure to have Connor and Joanna at our wedding day. They went above and beyond to ensure incredible customer service and we truly could not be more grateful for the work and effort that went into our videos from the day. They came with us to the wedding venue to get an idea of what we were looking for in advance of the and accommodated all of our requests. They were so flexible and genuinely lovely and the guests didn't notice them at all! They worked seamlessly alongside the photographers and caught some truly candid moments we will forever be grateful for. There was no staging or set ups, they new exactly where to find the natural moments and captured them perfectly. They turned the videos around super quickly and they were everything we could have possible wanted.. and more!! Their responsiveness to emails, dedication to detail and all-round incredible nature makes them a pleasure to work with! I will forever recommend these guys to anyone who will listen, and to anyone who is getting married!! Thank you SO much!
Why get
A WEDDING FILM?
In amongst the thousand other things that get arranged and organised for your day, it's easy to see why getting a film can be seen as an extra luxury.
So why get one?
I think the biggest reason is why we have Weddings in the first place; A unique celebration that is unapologetically, authentically you, surrounded by those that we care about the most, and one of the most important occasions of our lives - And it is a celebration of life.
These celebrations are made by a collection of moments, and while photographs can capture one of these on their own, that isn't how life is lived.
We move, dance, laugh, sing; And only video can capture these as they happen, for you to relive over and over again.

How we
FILM YOUR DAY
With each Wedding Day we capture, our first thought is to making the final film a genuine representation of you and your day.
How we do this is by primarily filming on longer lenses, ensuring we can stay in the background while you enjoy your day.
We'll never ask you to do anything that you're not 100% comfortable with or want to be in the film.
By taking this approach we can capture your day in the most authentic way possible, creating a film that is if you were there all over again.
Documentary first
A LIGHT DIRECTION WHEN NEEDED
While our approach is documentary-led, there are parts of the day where a little gentle direction helps — especially during couple portraits or when making the most of beautiful light.
This never means stiff posing or turning the day into a photoshoot. It’s more about giving you something simple to do, helping you feel comfortable, and creating space for natural moments to happen.
The goal is for these parts of the film to still feel like you; We direct just enough to make it feel natural.

Before the day, we’ll make sure we understand what matters most to you — the people, timings, venue, key moments and the general feeling you want from the film.
We do not need to script the day or over-plan every shot, but we do want to arrive prepared.
This preparation means we can work calmly and confidently on the day itself.

On
THE DAY
On the day itself, we work quietly around what is already happening.
During the ceremony and speeches, we are focused and discreet.
During the morning and reception, we are watching for real interactions and moments.
During portraits, we’ll give just enough guidance to help things feel relaxed and natural.
We are there when we need to be, and out of the way when we should be.
In
THE EDIT
The edit is where the film really finds its shape.
We look for the rhythm of the day, the words that matter, the emotional thread and the moments that bring everything back.
Music, sound, pacing and structure all matter. The aim is never just to make something that looks good, but to create a film that feels like your day every time you watch it.

From start to finish our experience with Connor at Stag & Doe was great. He was responsive to all of our questions and enthusiastic during our meetings. We really enjoyed having him as part of our wedding day too. On the day Connor himself did the videography, working alongside our photographer, they were a great team. During the ceremony and reception he captured the day while being unobtrusive, and even managed to catch some drone shots of Glasgow! We were blown away by the film he created, it had the relaxed and fun feeling we wanted. It captured our feeling of the day and it was brilliant to relive all of our memories through his lense.
